Actually, everything was just as usual.
A long day. Coming home in the evening. Taking off her jacket, having something to eat, maybe watching another episode of a series.
And yet something was different that evening.
The apartment was quiet.
Not pleasantly quiet. Somehow empty.
For the first time, she thought:
I feel lonely.
The thought unsettled her.
Because she wasn't alone in life.
There were people she liked. A friend she enjoyed going out with. Another she shared a hobby with. People to laugh with, do things with, message.
She did have friends.
And yet someone was missing.
Not just anyone.
Someone she could simply tell everything to.
The unfinished things. The unimportant things. A thought that had only just appeared. Something she didn't quite understand herself yet.
Someone who didn't make her stop and wonder:
Is this important enough to talk about? Is now a good time? Do I really want to burden someone with this?
Maybe that was exactly the emptiness she had felt for the first time that evening.
Not the absence of people.
But the absence of someone to share what was going on inside her with.
She picked up her smartphone.
Not to call someone.
She opened happinoa®.
"What would you like to talk about?"
At first, she wasn't quite sure herself.
So she wrote:
"Nothing has really happened. But somehow I feel alone tonight."
And that was how a conversation began.
Not one meant to replace another person.
But one in which her thoughts no longer had to remain alone.
